Wild-Life, Good-Life in Ioannina
Participation in the 4th Panhellenic Student Conference of Bioscientists in Ioannina (20–22 March 2026), under the conference theme “The trilogy of good living: mind, soul and body.”
I’m happy to announce my participation in the 4th Panhellenic Student Conference of Bioscientists in Ioannina (20–22 March 2026), under the conference theme “The trilogy of good living: mind, soul and body.”
As part of the event, I will present “Wild-Life, Good-Life: wildlife photography and nature observation as an antidote to stress”, a project that connects field ecology, visual storytelling, and wellbeing. The conference website includes a dedicated feature for Wild-Life, Good-Life, highlighting this nature–wellbeing perspective.
Event details
Conference: 4th Panhellenic Student Conference of Bioscientists (More info: https://pfsb.gr/)
Location: Ioannina
Dates: 20–22 March 2026
My presentation: Friday, 20 March, at 20:10 (https://pfsb.gr/wild-life-good-life/)
Exhibition: Available all conference days (Friday–Sunday)
What visitors can expect
The exhibition presents selected wildlife photographs and field moments that show how nature observation can support mental reset, attention, and emotional balance. It is designed for students, researchers, photographers, and anyone interested in the meeting point between science and everyday wellbeing.
My talk on Friday evening will focus on:
how birdwatching and wildlife photography can become practical tools against stress,
why mindful observation changes the way we experience landscapes,
and how field-based experiences can bridge biodiversity awareness with personal wellbeing.
The conference also features a broader scientific program with talks and round tables, alongside additional activities such as workshops and thematic sections listed on the official platform.
For me, this is a meaningful moment both as Stylianos Zannetos and as founder of Aegean Birding: sharing not only images of wildlife, but also a way of reconnecting with nature that is evidence-informed, accessible, and deeply human.
I look forward to meeting you in Ioannina.
